![]() This certification demonstrates entry-level knowledge that includes debugging, problem-solving, and interpreting the API, creating and evaluating code, and navigating the Unity interface. The Unity Certified User Programmer certification exam will test the basics of C# programming within Unity software to create interactivity in games, apps, AR/VR, and other experiences. Whether it’s a desire to create games and apps or build new worlds in AR and VR, the Unity Certified User certification is a measurable way for employers and institutions to verify knowledge and skills using Unity. Individuals who earn a Unity Certified User certification receive an industry-recognized credential that validates their proficiency using Unity technology and proves that they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in careers requiring interactive content creation. The Unity Certified User certification enables individuals to get started in interactive content creation for industries such as gaming, entertainment, automotive, XR, and AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction). One of the main points the council emphasized was striving towards excellence is a good goal, but having the welcoming feeling we have at Unity Schools is just as important. We are blessed with having many organizations which work to help support CUSD#15. CommUNITY Excellence in our School through commUNITY support.This is a win-win for the district as it promotes pride in the building as well as real life experiences for our students. Currently the superintendent is working with the shop class and students on completing some projects they are capable of doing. The Building and Grounds committee will be reviewing the list and working to address the needs of the facilities. They also discussed additional needs (windows at HS/MS updated, doors/security, stage front, parking). Facility needs The council discussed the many facility upgrades (boilers, HVAC, roof, furniture, etc.) that have occurred over the past couple of years.They also suggested further training for our staff on SEL. The council suggested the addition of an elementary/MS counselor. Social Emotional Learning/Needs Post pandemic has revealed a greater need for social emotional learning for our students.This is part of what the media coordinator would also address. Part of the discussion also centered around having one consistent message with one media site to access. We are looking at current staff and their abilities as well as some long-term subs we have had with such experience. The council suggested creating a position to handle the need. Media Coordinator Many aspects of what was discussed centered around the use of the district website, social media, and having a branding campaign.Administrative team is utilizing some of the suggestions by the committee that were not currently being employed. Staffing shortages and how we can recruit "Tell our Story" the group emphasized the positives we have in our district and what should draw new staff.Building secretaries are working on putting these together this summer. ![]() Registration information packets The group requested more hardcopy material be available for parents at registration such as sports calendars, PowerSchool usage info, etc.The goal is to have it out sometime second semester. Updated Website The district is working with Intrado on updating our website to be more attractive and user friendly.How to use PowerSchool for parents The administrative team is putting together a tutorial from PowerSchool to be put online.Working with PowerSchool for implementation for 2023-24 SY or sooner if possible. The CAC group includes Blake Duesterhaus-Erica Huntley-Erica Parrish-Connie Ruffcorn-Brian Shoemaker-Dr. Meeting discussions center around current topics or projects in the district and provide another avenue of input from the community. The Unity CAC group is comprised of parents and community members the help provide transparency and two-way communication between the district and the school community. We will provide updates as things progress on our list. The CAC met this year and discussed some items the district is considering.
